Job Description

Join the University of New Mexico Hospitals as a Radiology Technologist, where you will provide critical patient services in a Level I Trauma Center. You will perform essential radiographic procedures while ensuring high-quality service and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures including portables and in the OR
  • Follow prescribed techniques for administering x-rays and adjust equipment
  • Evaluate filming for technical qualities and provide corrective action
  • Document patient reactions or problems and report to supervisor
  • Assume care for patients during examinations and procedures
  • Assist physician with imaging process and follow department protocols
  • Participate in quality control programs and provide instruction as needed
  • Maintain stock supply levels and clean assigned area
  • Instruct units of clinical education as required
  • Enhance professional growth through educational programs and workshops
  • Follow patient safety-related policies and encourage patient participation

Required Qualifications

  • Program Graduate
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists License
  • New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a trauma center
