JABBERGYM is hiring Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants in Sacramento and Elk Grove

Must Have:

  • Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program
  • Current California Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License

Job Group Description: Jabbergym

Overtime Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.
  • Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, following established goals and treatment strategies.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic activities and exercises to improve strength, coordination, fine motor skills, and independence.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, noting changes in performance and communicating observations to the supervising OT.
  • Prepare and maintain therapy equipment, materials, and treatment areas to ensure a safe and organized environment.
  • Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on exercises and adaptive techniques for continued progress outside of therapy sessions.

Minimum Skills or Qualifications:

  • Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program
  • Knowledgeable in occupational therapy, multi-disciplinary childhood-intervention theories, and rehabilitation principles and practices.
  • Utilizes Sensory Integration and occupational therapy techniques used in the assessment and treatment of children with disabilities.
  • Must relate well to children and their families.
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance
  • Pro-Act, CPI and/or CPR certification helpful

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Requires frequent reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, running, carrying, and lifting 50 or more lbs.
  • Must be able to see and hear within normal range with or without correction.
  • The noise intensity level is moderate to high
