Job Description

The RN Instructor role involves assessing and developing educational programs for diverse patient groups, ensuring adherence to policies, and promoting quality outcomes through effective teaching. The position requires clinical expertise and a passion for nursing education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate clinical and non-clinical educational programs.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Identify educational needs and gaps among staff.
  • Develop instructional programs based on identified learning needs.
  • Implement educational curricula utilizing adult learning principles.
  • Monitor and evaluate educational program outcomes.
  • Maintain quality of instructional programs.
  • Provide leadership in professional practice.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to facilitate education.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Master's Degree
  • 3 years directly related experience
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • CPR, ALS, or ILS Age Appropriate Instructor Certification within 6 months

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
