Job Description
Join the University of New Mexico - Hospitals as an RN Educator, where you'll lead educational initiatives, enhance specialized patient care, and support nursing students while ensuring adherence to clinical protocols. Key Responsibilities
Provide educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care
Initiate unit-based strategies for developing clinical skills
Develop patient plans of care incorporating evidence-based research
Serve as a clinical resource for the multidisciplinary team
Educate staff on new equipment and conduct in-service training
Assist patients and caregivers with educational needs
Monitor trends and implement educational strategies
Deliver safe direct care to assigned patients
Encourage patient participation in their own care
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN)
18 months directly related experience
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
Instructor in Unit-Required Certifications within 90 Days
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing
Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
3 years directly related experience
Current Instructor in BLS, ACLS, NRP or other instruct certification
