The RN Instructor at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals will function as a unit educator and clinical instructor, providing specialized nursing education and direct patient care. This role offers competitive compensation with additional bonuses for shifts worked during nights and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Provide educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care
Develop patient plans of care incorporating evidenced-based research
Educate staff on the use of new equipment and coordinate in-service training
Monitor trends and implement educational strategies for quality standards
Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN)
18 months directly related experience
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
RN license in New Mexico or as allowed by reciprocal agreement
Instructor in Unit-Required Certifications within 90 Days
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing
Bilingual in English and Spanish or other languages
3 years directly related experience
Current Instructor in BLS, ACLS, NRP or other instructional certifications
