The Bilingual Registered Nurse (RN) at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals provides direct nursing care to patients across various age groups while ensuring adherence to hospital policies. This role includes clinical leadership, patient safety initiatives, and collaboration with the healthcare team to implement individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe direct care to assigned patients
Work within hospital and departmental policies
Implement and document individualized care plans
Assist with special tests and procedures
Participate in orientation and precept new personnel
Assist with emergency measures
Administer medication and document clinical findings
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
Enhance professional growth through educational programs
Follow patient safety-related policies and proactively improve patient safety
Required Qualifications
Program Graduate
Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual in English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
Nationally Certified in area of specialty
PALS
TNCC and/or ENPC
