Job Description
Join the University of New Mexico Hospitals as an Outpatient RN and make a difference in patient care. This role involves providing direct patient care, mentoring staff, and educating patients in a supportive ambulatory setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in the ambulatory setting
Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to staff
Serve as a role model
Administer medications and perform routine treatments
Document nursing care and assist in patient assessments
Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments
Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures
Participate in orientation and evaluation of new personnel
Educate patients and families on preventive care and medical issues
Required Qualifications
Program Graduate
Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
