Job Description
Join the University of New Mexico Hospitals as a Registered Nurse in Outpatient Psychiatric Care where you will provide essential nursing care to psychiatric patients. This role includes developing care plans, administering medications, and coordinating with healthcare teams to ensure a supportive recovery environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in a mental health/psychiatric environment
Interview, examine, and assess the health status of psychiatric patients
Write treatment plans and coordinate patient care activities
Educate patients and families on treatment regimens and compliance
Participate in orientation and training of new personnel
Required Qualifications
Program Graduate
Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
1 year of directly related experience
