Key Responsibilities
Instructs patients regarding MRI procedures
Prepares, positions, and manipulates patients for imaging
Selects appropriate imaging techniques and calibrates equipment
Obtains images and produces film records
Performs quality assurance on MRI equipment
Maintains clinical supplies and performs physical inventories
Provides instruction and guidance to staff and students
Ensures adherence to policies, procedures, and safety standards
May assist in research and clinical scheduling
Maintains professional growth through ongoing education
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Magnetic Resonance Imaging MRT (New Mexico licensure)
American Registry Radiologic Technologists R.T. (MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist ARMRIT
BLS Certification
