Job Description
Join the University of New Mexico Hospitals as a Bilingual RN in the Psychiatric Emergency Services department. You'll provide essential nursing care in a mental health setting, designing care plans and supporting patients through their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing care for psychiatric patients
Design nursing care plans and assist in overall care plan development
Administer medication and treatment, and provide emotional support
Coordinate patient care and facilitate communication among service providers
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
Participate in orientation and precept new personnel
Required Qualifications
Program Graduate
Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement
Obtain and maintain Aggressive Behavior Certification within 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual in Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
1 year directly related experience
