Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care in a mental health/psychiatric environment.
  • Design and assist in the development of nursing care plans.
  • Interview, examine, and assess the health status of psychiatric patients.
  • Observe patient behavior and perform triage and crisis intervention.
  • Write treatment plans and coordinate patient drug and procedure activities.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment regimens and compliance.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

Required Qualifications

  • Program Graduate
  • Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
  • 1 year directly related experience
