Job Description

Join Advocate Aurora as an MRI Technologist and play a crucial role in patient care by performing MRI scans, ensuring safety, and collaborating with healthcare teams to provide accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient
  • Prepare and assist patients for MRI procedures
  • Interview patients for medical history and document appropriately
  • Perform MRI scanning and assist physicians during procedures
  • Evaluate technical quality of images and consult with a radiologist as needed
  • Practice radiation safety and maintain a clean work area

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine
  • Advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI within one year of hire
  • Current CPR certification
