Job Description

Join Johnson Controls as a Sprinkler Service Technician and be part of a team that is committed to building a sustainable future. You will perform service and repairs on various sprinkler systems, ensuring customer satisfaction while working in a collaborative environment focused on safety and employee wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive service calls and diagnose equipment/system malfunctions
  • Contact customer representatives to ascertain equipment/system issues
  • Perform service and repairs on various sprinkler systems
  • Follow troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals
  • Read and interpret blueprints and operational manuals
  • Exhibit effective customer service skills
  • Electronically complete Service Acknowledgements
  • Participate in a scheduled On-call rotation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of documented experience in Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Capable of performing physical labor (carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs)
  • Able to work in unusual positions (climbing ladders, scaffolding, etc.)
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Participation in an on-call rotation schedule
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service
  • Maintain truck inventory for timely response to customer needs
  • Ability to adhere to safety guidelines and procedures
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test
