Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Shift: 12H Nights | Every Other Weekend | First to Float
Start Date: 9/30

Details:

• Unit: Emergency Department (ED)
• Beds: 19 ED beds, 3 Fast Track, 2 Triage with separate entrance
• Ratios: 1:4
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• EMR: Cerner
• Scrubs: Navy (undershirts navy/white/black; optional navy jacket)
• Orientation: 1–2 days on the floor with preceptor
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Rotate with core staff
• Floating: Required across Sacramento facilities (mid-shift floats rare)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks 

Additional Notes:

• Must complete Dysrhythmia Exam within 24–48 hours prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed; Relias exam within past 12 months accepted).
• No direct employment with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity in past 12 months (PRN via outside agency acceptable).
• Standard ED patients (no trauma). Psych holds managed with security.
• Charge RN generally non-patient assignment but assists with break relief.

• RT & Pharmacy onsite 24/7; Hospitalist/Intensivist available.
