Job Description

Join the University of New Mexico Hospitals as an RN - Inpatient Supervisor, where you'll lead nursing teams in delivering exceptional patient care. Utilize your clinical expertise and independent judgment to assign tasks, supervise staff, and ensure quality outcomes in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign nursing personnel and staff to specific patients using independent judgment
  • Designate shift and schedule assignments, and monitor staff attendance
  • Provide clinical leadership and ensure adequate staffing for patient care
  • Supervise staff and patient care delivery on designated shifts
  • Act as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, families, and other departments
  • Deliver safe direct care to assigned patients and document care plans
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families

Required Qualifications

  • Program Graduate
  • Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
  • 2 years directly related experience
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
  • Nationally Certified in area of specialty
