Key Responsibilities

  • Provide educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care
  • Initiate unit-based strategies for developing clinical skills
  • Perform as a unit educator and clinical instructor
  • Develop patient plans of care incorporating evidence-based research
  • Consult and serve as a clinical resource for the multidisciplinary team
  • Educate staff in the use of new equipment and supplies
  • Assist patients and caregivers with educational needs
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Educator and other nursing professionals
  • Monitor trends and implement educational strategies
  • Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients
  • Follow patient safety-related policies and protocols
  • Administer medication and document clinical findings

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • BSN or MSN
  • 18 months directly related experience
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • Instructor in Unit-Required Certifications within 90 Days

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
  • 3 years directly related experience
  • Current Instructor in BLS, ACLS, NRP or other instructor certifications
