Job Description

The CPR Registered Nurse will conduct concurrent reviews of clinical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance while educating patients and families about stroke and heart failure. This part-time role requires collaboration with healthcare teams to enhance patient care and improve documentation practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct concurrent reviews of clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians and caregivers for documentation accuracy
  • Provide patient/family education regarding stroke and heart failure
  • Utilize abstracting and data entry software for coding and reporting
  • Train caregivers in appropriate clinical documentation
  • Participate in clinical rounding and communication with care teams

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • 2 years directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Certified Coding Specialist
  • Certified Document Improvement Practitioner
  • 3 years directly related experience
