Job Description
Join the University of New Mexico - Hospitals as a Counselor Social Worker, where you will provide vital counseling and therapeutic services in a high-intensity clinical environment. You will lead and train lower-level counselors, ensuring high-quality patient care across various age groups.
Key Responsibilities
Provide counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy to clients and families
Prepare treatment and discharge plans
Consult with other therapists and professional staff
Provide emergency services and crisis intervention
Refer clients to appropriate social service agencies
Document treatment and therapy effectiveness
Perform administrative functions and report preparations
Provide clinical supervision and training to lower level therapists and interns
Enhance professional growth through educational programs
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in a related discipline
LPCC/CMHC or LCSW or LMFT in New Mexico
3 years directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish or other native languages
