Job Description

Join the University of New Mexico - Hospitals as a CPR Registered Nurse, where you will provide essential nursing care in a psychiatric setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in a mental health/psychiatric environment
  • Design nursing care plans and assist in the development of overall care plans for psychiatric patients
  • Interview, examine, and assess the health status of psychiatric patients
  • Observe patient behavior, perform triage and crisis intervention
  • Write treatment plans and coordinate patient drug activities
  • Educate patients and families on treatment regimens
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients

Required Qualifications

  • Program Graduate
  • Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
  • 1 year directly related experience
