The CPR Registered Nurse at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals will provide nursing care in a psychiatric environment, focusing on recovery and patient safety. This role requires designing care plans, administering treatments, and educating patients and families, while also participating in professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing care for psychiatric patients
Design and implement nursing care plans
Observe and assess patient behavior and mental status
Administer medication and coordinate treatment activities
Educate patients and families on treatment regimens
Participate in precepting and evaluating new personnel
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
Required Qualifications
Program Graduate
Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
Obtain and maintain Aggressive Behavior Certification within 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
1 year directly related experience
