Job Description
The RN Educator at the University of New Mexico Hospitals will assess and develop educational programs for clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring patient safety and adherence to policies. This role is vital for enhancing the quality of nursing education and practice.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate educational programs
Ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies
Identify educational needs and develop instructional programs
Implement educational curricula using adult learning principles
Monitor and evaluate educational program outcomes
Collaborate with other professionals to promote quality outcomes
Maintain documentation and records of instructional programs
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Related Discipline
3 years directly related experience
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
CPR, ALS, or ILS Age Appropriate Instructor Certification within 6 months
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree
Bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
