Job Description

Join the University of New Mexico Hospitals as an RN Coordinator in Orthopedic Care, where you'll lead the planning and implementation of patient care in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all RN Nursing duties
  • Coordinate all activities related to patient care
  • Serve as liaison between patient/family and healthcare team
  • Provide education and counseling to families
  • Facilitate delivery of services for optimal patient care
  • Collaborate with specialty team regarding patient candidacy
  • Conduct educational engagements for public relations
  • Provide statistical reports as needed
  • Coordinate diagnostic procedures post-surgery
  • Maintain departmental policies and procedures
  • Report and correct patient safety concerns

Required Qualifications

  • Program Graduate
  • 3 years directly related experience
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo (2 years directly related experience)
