Job Description
Join the University of New Mexico Hospitals as a Bilingual RN, providing crucial nursing care in a psychiatric setting. You'll engage with diverse patients, create individualized care plans, and advocate for their mental health needs while benefiting from competitive pay and support programs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in a mental health/psychiatric environment
Design nursing care plans and assist in the development of overall care plans for psychiatric patients
Perform patient assessments, triage, and crisis intervention
Chart and report observed symptoms and changes in patients' conditions
Educate patients and families on treatment regimens and management of side effects
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
Required Qualifications
Program Graduate
Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
1 year directly related experience
