Job Description
Join the University of New Mexico Hospitals as a CPR Registered Nurse, where you will provide essential nursing care in a psychiatric environment. Engage in patient assessments, treatment planning, and coordinate care to support recovery across various patient age groups.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in a mental health/psychiatric environment
Design nursing care plans and assist in the development of overall care plans for psychiatric patients
Observe patient behavior, activities, and mental status; perform triage and crisis intervention
Write treatment plans; coordinate patient drug and procedure activities; administer medication and treatment
Educate patients and families on treatment regimens and compliance with the treatment plans
Follow established departmental policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
Program Graduate
Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
Registered Nurse (RN) in New Mexico or as allowed by reciprocal agreement
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
1 year directly related experience
