Job Description

Join the University of New Mexico Hospitals as a full-time Radiology Technologist, where you'll provide critical patient services in a Level I Trauma Center. Your role will involve performing diagnostic radiographic procedures while ensuring quality service and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures including portables and the OR
  • Follow prescribed techniques for administering x-rays and adjust equipment
  • Evaluate filming for technical qualities and provide corrective actions
  • Observe patients during procedures and document reactions
  • Complete and verify paperwork related to exams and patient education
  • Assist physicians with imaging processes and maintain quality control
  • Ensure radiation safety standards are followed
  • Assist with patient care and transport as needed
  • Instruct students and clinical staff as required
  • Participate in professional growth and educational programs

Required Qualifications

  • Program Graduate
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists License
  • NM Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program License
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a trauma center
