Job Description
Join the University of New Mexico Hospitals as a Counselor Social Worker, providing essential psychosocial services in a high-intensity clinical environment. You'll lead a team of counselors while ensuring adherence to policies and delivering impactful patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy to clients and families
Prepare treatment plans, discharge plans, and follow-up care programs
Consult with other therapists and related staff
Provide therapeutic interventions including crisis intervention
Refer clients to appropriate social service agencies
Document treatment effectiveness and adjust as needed
Perform administrative functions and monitor expenditures
Provide clinical supervision to lower level therapists and interns
Enhance professional growth through educational programs
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in related discipline
LPCC/CMHC or LCSW or LMFT in New Mexico
3 years directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
