Join the University of New Mexico - Hospitals as a Bilingual RN, providing essential nursing care in a psychiatric setting. You will create care plans, support patients and families, and work within a collaborative team to enhance recovery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in a mental health/psychiatric environment
Design nursing care plans and assist in the development of overall care plans for psychiatric patients
Observe patient behavior, perform triage and crisis intervention
Administer medication and treatment; facilitate group therapy and education sessions
Educate patients and families on treatment regimens and compliance with treatment plans
Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families
Required Qualifications
Program Graduate
Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers certification within 30 days
Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or as allowed by reciprocal agreement
Obtain and maintain Aggressive Behavior Certification within 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
1 year directly related experience
