Job Description

Join the University of New Mexico - Hospitals as an RN Educator to design and implement impactful educational programs for nursing staff. This full-time role focuses on enhancing patient safety and professional development through innovative teaching and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate educational programs
Ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies
Follow patient safety-related policies and procedures
Identify educational needs and develop instructional programs
Implement educational curricula utilizing adult learning principles
Maintain and enhance the quality of instructional programs
Integrate ethics into nursing professional development practice
Provide leadership in professional practice and create a healthy work environment
Collaborate with other professionals to facilitate practice and quality outcomes

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related discipline
Master's Degree (preferred)
3 years directly related experience
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
RN license in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement
CPR, ALS, or ILS Age Appropriate Instructor Certification within 6 months

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual in English and Spanish or Native American languages
