Job Description

Join the University of New Mexico Hospitals as a CPR Registered Nurse, where you will provide essential nursing care in a psychiatric environment. You will develop personalized care plans, support patients through recovery, and collaborate with a dedicated team to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care for assigned psychiatric patients
  • Design nursing care plans and assist in overall care plan development
  • Observe patient behavior and perform triage and crisis intervention
  • Write treatment plans and coordinate patient drug and procedure activities
  • Educate patients and families on treatment regimens and provide emotional support
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures
  • Participate in professional development and maintain a safe environment

Required Qualifications

  • Program Graduate
  • Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • Obtain and maintain Aggressive Behavior Certification within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
  • 1 year directly related experience
