Job Description
Join the University of New Mexico - Hospitals as an RN Educator, where you'll lead educational initiatives, develop patient care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance specialized patient care. Key Responsibilities
Provide educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care
Initiate unit-based strategies for developing clinical skills
Perform as a unit educator while maintaining clinical skills
Develop patient plans of care incorporating evidenced-based research
Consult with and serve as a clinical resource for the multidisciplinary team
Educate staff in the use of new equipment and coordinate in-service training
Collaborate with Clinical Educator and other nursing staff
Monitor trends and implement educational strategies
Deliver safe direct care to assigned patients
Enhance professional growth through educational programs
Follow patient safety-related policies and demonstrate proactive approach
Administer medication and document clinical findings
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
BSN or MSN
18 months directly related experience
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
Instructor in Unit-Required Certifications w/in 90 Days
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree
Bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
3 years directly related experience
Current Instructor in BLS, ACLS, NRP or other instruct cert
