Job Description

The Nursing Instructor will function as a unit educator and clinical instructor, enhancing specialized patient care by utilizing evidence-based research. This full-time position requires collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care while maintaining clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care
  • Initiate unit-based strategies for developing clinical skills
  • Perform as a unit educator and clinical instructor
  • Develop patient plans of care incorporating evidence-based research
  • Consult with the multidisciplinary team for quality patient care
  • Educate staff on new equipment and coordinate training
  • Assist patients and caregivers with educational needs
  • Collaborate with Clinical Educator to implement curricula
  • Monitor trends and implement educational strategies
  • Deliver safe direct care and administer medications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN)
  • 18 months directly related experience
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • Instructor in Unit-Required Certifications within 90 Days

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
  • 3 years directly related experience
  • Current Instructor in BLS, ACLS, NRP or other instructor certifications
