Job Description

Join the University of New Mexico - Hospitals as an RN Instructor, where you'll lead educational initiatives and develop nursing skills in a supportive environment. You'll play a key role in patient care, utilizing your expertise to mentor students and enhance clinical practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care
  • Initiate unit-based strategies for developing clinical skills
  • Develop patient plans of care incorporating evidenced-based research
  • Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients
  • Educate staff in the use of new equipment and coordinate training
  • Monitor trends and implement educational strategies for quality standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN)
  • RN license in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days
  • 18 months directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
  • 3 years directly related experience
  • Current Instructor in BLS, ACLS, NRP or other instructor certifications
