The RN - Inpatient Supervisor at University of New Mexico Hospitals will lead clinical staff, manage patient care assignments, and ensure quality patient care on assigned shifts. This role includes supervising nursing staff, participating in strategic nursing initiatives, and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assign nursing personnel and staff to specific patients
Designate shift and schedule assignments
Supervise and direct staff providing patient care
Act as liaison between physicians, staff, patients, and families
Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients
Participate in nursing strategic initiatives
Ensure adherence to policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
Program Graduate
2 years directly related experience
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider within 30 days
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual in English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
Nationally Certified in area of specialty
