Key Responsibilities
Utilize medical equipment and procedures to provide advanced medical care
Drive the ambulance and provide map reading support
Maintain all required certifications
Communicate with dispatcher regarding call data
Monitor and maintain the ambulance unit's condition
Document patient care and billing activities
Follow policies regarding response and turnaround times
Consider patient status when determining transportation destinations
Work past scheduled shift with little or no notice
Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Current state Paramedic License
Valid State Driver’s License
Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS Provider Certification
Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy
Preferred Qualifications
Some advanced education preferred
