Job Description
Join the University of New Mexico Hospitals as a Clinical Counselor Social Worker, where you'll provide critical behavioral health support across various clinics. This full-time role involves direct patient care, consultation, and training, ensuring high-quality psychosocial services in a dynamic clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy to clients and families
Prepare treatment and discharge plans
Consult with other therapists and agencies
Provide therapeutic interventions and crisis intervention
Refer clients to appropriate social service agencies
Document treatment reliability and therapy adjustments
Conduct case management and prepare documentation for legal proceedings
Administer program functions and monitor expenditures
Train and provide clinical supervision to lower-level therapists or interns
Promote best practices in treatment and patient safety
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in a related discipline
3 years of directly related experience
LPCC/CMHC or LCSW or LMFT credential in New Mexico
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
