Job Description

Join the University of New Mexico - Hospitals as a Nursing Instructor to develop and implement clinical and non-clinical educational programs. This full-time role includes ensuring adherence to policies, assessing educational needs, and promoting patient safety across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs
  • Ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies
  • Identify educational needs and develop instructional programs
  • Implement educational curricula utilizing adult learning principles
  • Monitor and evaluate educational program outcomes
  • Maintain quality of instructional programs
  • Provide leadership in professional practice and education
  • Collaborate with professionals and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Master's Degree
  • 3 years directly related experience
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • CPR, ALS, or ILS Age Appropriate Instructor Certification within 6 months

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Related Discipline
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
