Join the University of New Mexico - Hospitals as a CPR Registered Nurse, where you will provide essential nursing care in a psychiatric environment. You will design care plans, administer treatments, and support patients and their families in a therapeutic setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in a mental health/psychiatric environment
Design nursing care plans and assist in overall care plans for psychiatric patients
Administer medication and treatment; facilitate group therapy and education sessions
Educate patients and families on treatment regimens and management of side effects
Coordinate communication between physicians, staff, patients, and families
Participate in orientation and assume precepting responsibilities of new personnel
Follow established departmental policies and safety standards
Required Qualifications
Program Graduate
Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
