Job Description
Join the University of New Mexico Hospitals as a Counselor Social Worker, where you'll provide essential counseling and therapeutic services in a dynamic clinical environment. Lead and support a team of counselors while ensuring patient safety and promoting best practices in mental health care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy to clients and families
Prepare treatment plans, discharge plans, and follow-up care programs
Consult with other therapists and professionals
Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic interventions
Document treatment reliability and adjust therapy as needed
Prepare for civil commitment hearings and other legal proceedings
Provide clinical supervision to lower-level therapists and interns
Participate in educational programs for professional growth
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in a related discipline
LPCC/CMHC or LCSW or LMFT in New Mexico
3 years of directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
