Join the University of New Mexico Hospitals as a Registered Nurse in the Inpatient Psychiatric unit. This role involves providing critical nursing care to psychiatric patients, developing care plans, and coordinating treatment efforts to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing care for psychiatric patients
Design nursing care plans and ensure adherence to hospital policies
Interview, examine, and assess health status of patients
Observe patient behavior and perform triage and crisis intervention
Write treatment plans and administer medications
Educate patients and families on treatment regimens
Coordinate communication between care providers and patients
Required Qualifications
Program Graduate
Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
Obtain and maintain Aggressive Behavior Certification within 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
1 year directly related experience
