Job Description

Join the University of New Mexico - Hospitals as a Radiology Technologist, where you will provide essential patient services in a Level I Trauma Center. You will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures while ensuring quality service and patient safety in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures including portables and in the OR
  • Follow prescribed techniques to administer x-rays and adjust equipment
  • Evaluate filming for quality control and provide corrective actions
  • Document patient reactions or problems during procedures
  • Assume care for patients during examinations
  • Assist physician with imaging and follow departmental protocols
  • Maintain safety standards and provide protection to patients
  • Keep assigned areas clean and maintain supply levels
  • Provide clinical education to students and staff
  • Participate in professional development and educational programs

Required Qualifications

  • Program Graduate
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists License
  • NM Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Trauma Center
