Job Description

Join the University of New Mexico - Hospitals as an RN Coordinator in Orthopedic Care, where you will play a crucial role in planning and delivering patient care for various age groups. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all RN Nursing duties in specialty clinic and triage patients
  • Coordinate all activities related to patient care
  • Serve as liaison between patients/families and healthcare team
  • Counsel and teach families regarding medical conditions and procedures
  • Facilitate delivery of optimal patient care in specialty area
  • Collaborate with specialty team regarding patient candidacy
  • Conduct educational engagements for professional and public relations
  • Provide statistical reports as needed
  • Participate in educational opportunities and workshops
  • Direct management of patient care caseload pre and post operative

Required Qualifications

  • Program Graduate
  • 3 years directly related experience
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider within 30 days
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
  • 2 years directly related experience
