The Inpatient Nurse Supervisor at the University of New Mexico Hospitals will oversee nursing staff and patient care delivery, ensuring adherence to hospital policies while maintaining a positive work environment. This role involves strategic participation in nursing initiatives and providing clinical leadership for the nursing team.
Key Responsibilities
Assign nursing personnel and staff to specific patients
Designate shift and schedule assignments
Supervise and direct staff providing patient care
Monitor compliance with specific objectives and standards
Act as liaison between physicians, staff, patients, and families
Deliver safe direct care to assigned patients
Participate in orientation and precepting of new personnel
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
Required Qualifications
Program Graduate
2 years directly related experience
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual in English and Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
Nationally Certified in area of specialty
