Key Responsibilities

  • Greets patients and visitors courteously
  • Verifies insurance information and registers new patients
  • Schedules patients for appointments and collects payments
  • Assists therapists with pre-certification paperwork
  • Maintains communication with providers and ensures continuity of care
  • Performs clerical duties such as copying, faxing, and filing

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service or office related experience
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Ability to travel 25% to Manhattan and Sunnyside practices if needed for coverage
  • Ability to attend training in Lake Success, NY

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience working in medical front office position
  • Experience working with an electronic health record (EPIC)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
