Key Responsibilities
Greets patients and visitors courteously
Verifies insurance information and registers new patients
Schedules patients for appointments and collects payments
Assists therapists with pre-certification paperwork
Maintains communication with providers and ensures continuity of care
Performs clerical duties such as copying, faxing, and filing
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service or office related experience
Intermediate level of computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Ability to travel 25% to Manhattan and Sunnyside practices if needed for coverage
Ability to attend training in Lake Success, NY
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience working in medical front office position
Experience working with an electronic health record (EPIC)
Knowledge of medical terminology
Bilingual in Spanish and English
