Job Description

The University of New Mexico Hospitals is seeking a dedicated RN for inpatient care. This role involves providing direct nursing care, clinical leadership, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies while supporting a positive work environment for quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients
  • Work within hospital, nursing division, and departmental policies
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans
  • Assist with special tests and procedures
  • Participate in orientation and precepting of new personnel
  • Assist with emergency measures for sudden patient developments
  • Administer medication and document clinical findings
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
  • Enhance professional growth through educational programs and workshops
  • Follow patient safety-related policies and protocols

Required Qualifications

  • Program Graduate
  • Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Nationally Certified in area of specialty
