Job Description
Join University of New Mexico Hospitals as an Outpatient Psychiatric RN, providing essential nursing care in a mental health setting. You'll have the opportunity to design care plans, coordinate patient treatments, and support individuals through their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities
Interview, examine, and assess the health status of psychiatric patients
Observe patient behavior and perform triage and crisis intervention
Write treatment plans and coordinate patient activities
Educate patients and families on treatment regimens
Facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients
Follow established departmental policies and procedures
Participate in orientation and precept new personnel
Required Qualifications
Program Graduate
Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
1 year directly related experience
