Job Description

Join the University of New Mexico - Hospitals as a General Radiology Technologist, where you'll provide essential patient services in a Level I Trauma Center. Your expertise in radiographic procedures will ensure high-quality care and safety for diverse patient populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures including portables and the OR
  • Follow prescribed techniques to administer general and specific x-rays
  • Evaluate filming for technical qualities and provide corrective action
  • Observe patient and equipment during procedures and document reactions
  • Complete and verify all appropriate paperwork
  • Assume care for physical needs of the patient during examinations
  • Assist physician with imaging process and follow protocols
  • Maintain stock supply levels through inventory control
  • Instruct specific units of didactic and/or clinical education as required
  • Participate in quality control programs

Required Qualifications

  • Program Graduate
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists License
  • NM Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a trauma center
