Key Responsibilities
Greets patients and visitors promptly and courteously
Verifies insurance information and registers new patients
Schedules future appointments and collects co-pays
Assists with pre-certification paperwork
Handles clerical duties like copying and filing
Notifies healthcare providers of patient arrivals
Ensures continuity of care and communication
Maintains confidentiality of patient information
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service or office related experience
Intermediate level of computer proficiency
Ability to travel 25% to Manhattan and Sunnyside practices if needed
Ability to attend training in Lake Success, NY
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in a medical front office position
Experience working with an electronic health record (EPIC)
Knowledge of medical terminology
Bilingual in Spanish and English
