Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely expert medical review for requests evaluating medical necessity
  • Review appeals for denied services
  • Conduct peer-to-peer discussions with referring physicians
  • Maintain necessary credentials and inform eviCore of any adverse actions
  • Participate in strategic planning and evaluation of Care Management

Required Qualifications

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Current, active U.S. state medical license
  • Board certified in Oncology Radiation
  • Recent practice experience in direct patient care (within the past 18 months)
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience beyond residency/fellowship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws
  • URAC and NCQA standards familiarity
  • Familiarity with automated processes and computer applications
