Job Description
Join the University of New Mexico - Hospitals as a Counselor Social Worker, where you will provide essential psychosocial evaluation and therapy services. In a high-intensity clinical environment, you will lead and support lower-level counselors while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy to clients and families
Prepare treatment plans, discharge plans, and follow-up care programs
Consult with other professionals in therapeutic and casework performance
Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic interventions
Refer clients to appropriate social service agencies
Document and follow up on treatment effectiveness
Perform administrative functions and participate in research projects
Provide clinical supervision and training to lower-level therapists and interns
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in a related discipline
LPCC/CMHC or LCSW or LMFT in New Mexico
3 years of directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
