Job Description
Join the University of New Mexico Hospitals as a Clinical Counselor Social Worker, where you'll provide essential psychosocial evaluation and therapeutic services across various clinics. Take a leadership role in training and supervising lower-level counselors while ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Provide counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy to clients and families
Prepare treatment plans and follow-up care programs
Consult with other therapists and professionals
Provide therapeutic interventions, including crisis intervention
Refer clients to appropriate social service agencies
Document treatment reliability and effectiveness
Perform administrative functions and prepare reports
Provide clinical supervision and training to lower-level therapists and students
Promote best practices in treatment and enhance professional growth
Ensure patient safety and adherence to policies
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in related discipline
3 years of directly related experience
LPCC/CMHC or LCSW or LMFT in New Mexico
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
